    Safety first

    Every question is checked on the way in. Prompt-injection attempts are detected and the rules are reinforced.

  2. 02 Memory

    Facts I approved

    Hybrid retrieval over a knowledge base I reviewed: pgvector similarity and Postgres full-text search, fused by reciprocal rank fusion, with citation numbers.

  3. 03 Voice

    Sounds like me

    A personality profile plus retrieved examples of my own replies. They shape the tone only and are never used as facts.

  4. 04 Model

    An open-weight model

    Qwen3.5-4B, served locally through Ollama behind a FastAPI service. The website never talks to the model directly; it streams the answer back.

  5. 05 Filter

    Honest on the way out

    An output filter strips emails and phone numbers I haven't approved. Work questions the sources don't cover get a plain “I don't know”.

Math at Waterloo.Studio in Toronto.Red, always.

I'm Kavin. I'm in my second year of Honours Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, and in February 2026 I started Built.km. I build with AI tools every day: Kavin AI was built with a lot of help from Claude and ChatGPT. Off the clock it's basketball (LeBron is the GOAT), Drake and NBA 2K MyCareer. Try me.

Since 2023 I've also served on the Unified Leadership Council of Special Olympics Ontario, representing youth athletes across the province.
